Tom and I love hand-feeding our African Grey parrots. We started out with one pair that Tom gave me for my birthday because I had always loved them. We currently have 5 pairs, which keeps us busy as our hobby. Tom owns his own construction business and I have worked for a veterinarian 12 years. I love my job as I am a real animal lover. Between Tom and I, it is a joint effort raising these delightful birds. We share cleaning cages, hand feeding, and playing with them. Our babies are sweet and loving and are all sold with a sampling of the food they are raised on, a toy, and a book about their care. We are by no means experts on African Greys; we just do what works for us. Again, each bird is an individual and, like all pets their personalities will differ from bird to bird.
